Debra Wyman
I started my career in education working as a Special
Education aide for four years. I decided to return to
college and received a degree in Special Education,
English, and a Master’s Degree in Behavior Disorders
from West Virginia University. I have been a teacher for
18 years in Lewis County. I also completed an
Educational Leadership Program and have worked as an
Assistant Principal on the Middle and High School
levels. I assisted in writing a grant for one of the
first Alternative schools in West Virginia and was a
Director at that school.
I have three children and two grandchildren.
My hobbies include taking care of four horses and just
being outside. I have always been interested in my own
family history and Appalachian culture. I am thrilled
and honored to be part of the Roads to Appalachia
project and the upcoming trip to Italy. |
