Today we began our tour with a bus ride to the Vatican. We joined thousands of others to see the Pope. It was very hot in sunny Italy today. Many of us sampled the water in the public fountains. So far there are no reports of unsavory after effects. After the Pope's appearance, we took in a light lunch and then met again to tour the Vatican City. After a thorough tour courtesy of our local guide Marco, we returned to our hotel to get ready for another special dinner. Once again we were pleasantly entertained. We all enjoyed the dinner and Italian hospitality. The ladies all received roses before returning to our hotel. Tomorrow Pompeii!

Getting ready to see the Pope.

We gather outside of the square.

Inside the crowd begins to gather.

We have our seats in the sun...and it's really hot!

Do you see him yet?

Can you find the Pope in this picture?

He addresses the crowd.

No pictures in the Sistine Chapel. I don't know who took this?!

St. Peter's is breathtaking.

A great day for ice cream!

A beer for my friends back home in WV.

We take a moment to say "Salute" before our four-course meal.

We all enjoyed our wonderful dinner.

Our tour director partakes in a little stress reduction therapy Italian style.

Two old friends share some vino.

This table is getting a little rowdy with the help of Bobby the waiter.

The musicians are very friendly.

Tony Soprano's replacement.

There goes those musicians again!

Lots of kisses for everyone.

Our fearless leader gets her kisses as well.

Even the bathroom was beautiful. We couldn't resist taking a picture.
