| Jenna Marie Facemire was born on April 29, 1986 in
Charleston, West Virginia. She grew up in Sutton, West
Virginia, a small coal town on the banks of Sutton Lake
and the Elk River. Jenna was a 2004 graduate of Braxton
County High School and has been a student at Fairmont
State University since fall of the same year, double
majoring in Physical and Health Education. Miss
Facemire ran Cross-Country all four years of high school
and has continued her running career at FSU, where she
has been a member of the Cross-Country team for three
years and was recently named team captain for the fall
2007 season. Jenna hopes that with her athletic and
academic backgrounds, she will go on to become a
first-rate teacher/coach and a clear example of where
hard work can take people.
During the most recent semester, Jenna has
been involved with a class designed to help prepare her
colleagues and herself for field-study in Italy this
summer. The class has aided Miss Facemire immensely in
developing better appreciation for Italian culture and
heritage and she looks forward to the coming experience
on site. Upon returning from the study-trip, Jenna
hopes to have gained a better understanding of the world
and people in it so that she might become both a more
capable teacher and cultured individual. Jenna remains
delighted to be part of what she considers “an amazing
adventure” and looks forward to being able to share the
experience with others.
